Poblenou Urban District’s Map#10 is here!

In July 2012 we took to the streets the very first Poblenou Urban District map, we were 53 spaces back then. Four years later, thanks to the support of our current 150 members, we’ve reached our 10th edition. Through our short history, covers have been designed by artists such as Diego Mallo, Patrick Thomas, Sergio Mora, Sacris and new talents from the BAU design school.

For this special issue, we’ve decided to take our logo and bring it to life – the one that represents one of the biggest creative communities in Barcelona. The cover has been designed by the association’s art director Vicente Ruiz. The ant has been chosen as a symbol of community and teamwork. These insects gather to draw the association’s logo. It represents the different spaces in the neighbourhood that join forces to create something greater than the sum of their parts.

Every six months, Poblenou Urban District publishes its characteristic map where one can find the more than 150 members that are filling the neighbourhood with creative and cultural activities. Amongst the new spaces that have recently adhered to the project we can find restaurants, showrooms, art schools and delicatessen.

The map also includes an activity program that includes the Open Day, which will be celebrated on May 7th 2016. So, for all these people eager to visit and discover Poblenou, you can go get your copy in any of our members’ spaces and other special venues. And remember that you can always download the online version of the map here.

Poblenou Urban District is a non-profit association founded in 2012 aiming to promote the zone as the new District of Art and Creativity in Barcelona.
