Off Llum Bcn 2022: Go–PopUp presents OracLED by BeatMe Lab

Within Off Llum Bcn 2022 which will take place on February 4, 5 and 6, Go–PopUp presents the installation OracLED by the multidisciplinary artistic creation collective BeatMe Lab.

OracLED is a multidisciplinary project that combines video mapping and pixel mapping to recreate a dreamlike landscape in the center of which a light oracle stands out. The building in the background comes to life through a gigantic projection while a corridor formed by lateral LED spotlights is illuminated sequentially following the motifs of kaleidoscopic shapes. The world of dreams is thus represented by means of light, creating an enigmatic atmosphere that, together with the musical induction, generates a hypnotic and attractive sensation in the viewer.

The main objective of the work is the exploration of the relationships between light, color, form and surface. Based on this premise, the emblematic post-industrial environment of Pasaje Pamplona 88 in the Barcelona neighborhood of Poblenou becomes a mysterious enclave where the limits of reality are blurred through unique lighting effects and vibrant abstract images that intermingle with each other. 

BeatMe Lab cultural association was born in Barcelona in 2015 as a multidisciplinary creation platform focused specifically on new media art, light design and the audiovisual world in all its aspects, with the main objective of exploring the many possibilities that new technologies can offer in the artistic field.

BeatMe Lab has shown its artistic projects and interventions through projection mapping, pixel mapping and LED lighting at various festivals and events such as Off Llum BCN, WAC Poblenou, Convent de Sant Agusti, UWE Bristol, Isolator Space, etc.
