Music 2 years

Razzmatazz and La Nau will host several performances for “Primavera a la Ciutat”

If you still haven’t heard what’s coming for the next few days in Barcelona, let us refresh your memory a bit: for two weeks, Barcelona will become a giant festival, as Primavera Sound returns after 2 years of sanitary restrictions.

In parallel to the festival, Primavera a la Ciutat offers the public the opportunity to see their favorite artists thanks to performances in several concert halls of the city. Indeed, for 4 days, from June 5 to 8, every corner of Barcelona will be filled with music: 14 venues and spaces will host nearly 200 performances in a Primavera a la Ciutat like no other. A parallel and complementary festival to the festival itself, full of second chances (and even third and fourth) and unique occasions to complete the musical offer of the twentieth anniversary of Primavera Sound. On the one hand, the public will be able to see artists who are also performing on one of the two weekends; on the other hand, they will find in the program a multitude of concerts and parties that will only take place within the framework of Primavera a la Ciutat.

Two of the music venues that are part of the Creative District, Sala Razzmatazz, the concert hall and nightclub of reference in Barcelona, and La Nau, a space for musical creation, will host a series of performances on June 5, 6, 7 and 8. During these 4 days, more than thirty artists from different horizons will come to present their music in the concert halls.

Finally, on Wednesday, June 8, La Nau presents three artists from Label 4AD, an independent British Pop Rock label emblematic of the 80s-90s. The exquisite post-punk corpses of Dry Cleaning, the bedroom R&B of Erika de Casier and the watery landscaping of Maria Somerville trace the same lines of desire as any other big name from Ivo Watts-Russell’s celebrated catalog.
